I’m happy that you’re here and want to know more about Wyldrose Aussies. My name is Amber Rose McDaniel and I’ve raised dogs (Pembrokes from 2002-2022) for over twenty years, but Australian Shepherds have been apart of my life since childhood. Our first Aussie litter was born in 2022. I show our Aussies with the American Stock Dog Registry and duel register with the AKC & ASDR.
Age appropriate health screenings are done on every Aussie in my program. I use Paw Print Genetics for DNA testing and the Orthopedic Foundation For Animals for evaluating hips and elbows. Ophthalmology appointments are done to CAER certify as well. After all of these results have been documented by the OFA, they issue a CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) number that identifies the individual has met the requirements from their breed club for health testing.
Temperament is crucial and I’ve chosen certain lessons from Puppy Culture (animal behavior research) to use as a guide to help with desensitization and socialization beginning at the very young puppy stage. Raising Aussie puppies successfully takes considerable time and attention and it’s a family affair here. I highly recommend doing your research on this breed and if you feel they are the one for you, do your homework on selecting a responsible breeder, and have the necessary tools and time to finish raising a well adjusted family member. Our Aussies are acclimated to a busy home, other pets plus all the sights and sounds of an active Quarter Horse ranch, so they really do have a great start!
All Wyldrose puppies will be placed with Limited AKC registration unless otherwise discussed. They are registered as Australian Shepherds, only.
